Ensure Your New-to-You Car is a Good Bet

Looking at buying a used car? It’s a good idea to get it inspected before driving away in your new ride.

Why do a pre-purchase inspection?
Before buying a used car, it’s a good idea to get your potential new ride inspected in order to:

  • Identify hidden issues: a thorough inspection can reveal mechanical problems, body damage, or other issues that aren’t immediately visible.
  • Verify condition: an inspection can confirm the seller’s claims about the car’s condition and maintenance history.
  • Negotiate better: if issues are found, you can negotiate a lower price or request repairs before making such a substantial purchase like a car.
  • Peace of mind: knowing that a professional has assessed the car can provide confidence in your purchase.
  • Avoid costly repairs: identifying problems early can save you from unexpected repair costs after the purchase.

Overall, a pre-inspection is a smart step to ensure you’re making a sound investment.

What should a pre-inspection include?
Whether you visit Stellar or another car repair shop, there are a number of areas you’ll want to make sure your mechanic checks on your potential car:

  • Engine inspection: ensure your engine’s condition has been checked out to avoid potential breakdowns and costly repairs down the road.
  • Transmission check: check your transmission for any signs of wear or damage, ensuring smooth operation for many miles to come.
  • Radiator check: have the cooling system assessed to prevent overheating issues.
  • Brakes: it goes without saying, you and your family’s safety is important. Have the brakes inspected by a professional to ensure they’re in good shape and reliable.
  • Tires: Evaluate tire condition, ensuring safety and performance.

Auto repairs can be costly, so before singing the dotted line, make sure your new car is in good condition.

Cadillac is tired of being in the shadow of European luxury brands, so it has pulled out all the stops on its new electric flagship, the Celestiq sedan. This stunner shares a family resemblance to the Lyriq SUV, but its sleek lines, sweeping roof, and bustled rear end give it more dynamic proportions and jaw-dropping presence.

KEEPING EVERYTHING STRAIGHT

Cadillac says the Celestiq concept is what buyers will actually get when the production model starts rolling off the assembly line. Will be manned by a small team of craftspeople who will hand-build each model. Customers will design their own Celestiq when they order, similar to the Rolls-Royce method of manufacturing. All of that, plus the Celestiq’s electric powertrain, are sure to make it a Cadillac that won’t sit in anyone’s shadow.
